OOC Rank Meaning
Here is the OOC rank explanation:
They mean nothing. Nada. Zilch.

Amphitheatre, at the time that I'm writing this, does not have officer ranks. I do not believe in over-contemplating things, and at the moment I am more than capable of taking on all of the responsibilities of leadership. Should this ever change, this section will change. I'm not saying we will never have officers, only that I personally don't believe in bogging down friends and guildmates with unnecessary responsibilities or meaningless titles.

Here are the ranks we have within our guild, in the posts below you'll be able to find further information on each.
Spectator
Attendant
Virtuoso
Informant
Contender
Champion
Proprietor

Spectator [OOC Rank]
Spectator is our OOC rank. This is usually reserved for members of the guild whom have yet to participate in RP and be brought in ICly or for alt characters of existing members. They have minimal bank privileges. Generally we do not allow characters that are RP characters but not a part of our story into the guild, though on the very rare occasion we do, they can be found within this rank.

Attendant [Member Rank]
The attendant rank allows for characters that are not contenders and not entertainers but are employed by Hassien nonetheless. Characters within this rank will generally be medics, healers, tradespeople, advisors, family and friends to contenders, servants, bartenders, cooks, and other various purposes that still serve Amphitheatre as a whole. They are full members OOCly, with appropriate bank access and other privileges. RP can take place at events or privately, but is most often on an on-use basis, meaning that the players will need to be proactive in creating their own stories and making friends within the guild for stable, consistent, non-event-based RP.

Virtuoso [Member Rank]
Virtuoso is the rank given to any character within Amphitheatre that is employed or bonded and capable of creative entertainment. Character concepts found in this rank include singers, dancers, comedians, courtesans, artists, poets, and any of the instructors or keepers associated with these people. Like the Attendant rank, these players will find that outside of events their characters will depend largely on personal stories. Players of these characters will be responsible for seeking out, establishing, and continuing story with whomever they choose. They will typically have a harder time with events than a contender, but will enjoy a good amount of attention and RP in social gatherings.

Informant [Member Rank]
Given the nature of some of the business that Hassien partakes in, informants are a necessary part of the lives of those involved in Amphitheatre. These people are most often skilled in gathering information, assessing situations that could become a nuisance for the contenders or their leader, and may sometimes be asked to take on additional tasks that require skills in social settings. In a nut shell, these are the seductresses, the con-men, the information planters, and the recon. They are shadows, and much of what they do will not be known to other members of Amphitheatre ICly. These characters might masquerade as other ranks such as Virtuoso or Contender on a mission-basis.

Contender [Member Rank]
Contenders are the bread and butter of Amphitheatre. These are our gladiators, our men paid (or forced) to fight for entertainment. Those who join under this rank are both extremely skilled players and roleplayers; They must not only know their respective classes but must know them so well that they can stage convincing fights. We treat contender matches much as some sports (like wrestling) treat theirs: the victor of the matches is decided ahead of time and both members competing must know when to lay off damage, when not to crowd control or interrupt, and how to make the other character look absolutely amazing. Actual matches are done as RPPvP duels, with the goal that of providing the most entertaining duel possible to watch, not to score a win on the opponent. Characters in this rank may be employed or may be bondsmen (people whom are bound to Hassien's will through debt) and are typically a bit rough around the edges.

Champion [Senior Member Rank]
This is not an officer rank, but it is the closest thing we have to one and it's bearers have several capabilities other members do not (bank access, ginvite and promotion abilities) as well as are to be treated with exceptional respect. People who bear the Champion rank are held to the same standards and enjoy the same stories as contenders do, they are seasoned gladiators that have been placed in a position of pseudo-leadership over other contenders. They might ICly oversee the training or breaking of new contenders, and are often tasked with showing them the ropes.

Proprietor [Guild Master Rank]
This is the guild administration rank. At the time of writing, it is the only one, and it is held by one person. ICly, the proprietor is Hassien Athori, whom funds and operates both the gladiatorial ring as well as other business endeavors.
